DIG A WELL FOUNDATION

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” (Narrated by Muslim)

Ongoing charity – sadaqah jariyah – is one of the most valuable acts we can do in this life, which continues benefiting us in the next, even after we have left the earth.

The Best Form of Charity

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “The best charity is giving water to drink.” (Narrated by Ahmad)

We at the MSSFGCOA wish to assist in providing clean sources of water for communities/Schools/Mosques that need it most. Access to clean water can

• Transform the lives of entire communities.
• Reduce the spread of water borne diseases
• Reduce man hours spent fetching water miles away from home.
• Provide safety for female members of the community as they travel long distance to get water.
• More time can be spent on other activities school work etc increasing productivity.

These Wells can serve up to 200 people, providing access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking, as well as keeping livestock hydrated. On average, these wells serve around 35 families. Whilst we encourage each an everyone to invest in providing a well for both your loved ones that may have passed away and also for ourselves for investment in the next life.

Financial Implication

We put the current cost break down of providing a well at NGN 300,000

Do note that an individual can contribute for an entire well or part of it.

At any point in time once we have enough funds to complete one well we utilize the funds.

Financial Accountability

At the end of each accomplished project Insha Allah we will provide

• GPS coordinates of each well location
• Pictures and or Video of the entire project from start to finish.
